Women in Classical

Recent accomplishments from women blazing trails in classical today include Philadelphia-based composer Jennifer Higdon, who, in addition to winning a Grammy for her Percussion Concerto recording, added the Pulitzer Prize for Music for her Violin Concerto to her growing list of awards. Sondra Radvanowsky, too, has been singled-out in an NPR feature recently for her latest album titled Verdi Arias where they said, "She opens her mouth and huge streams of sound soar out like giant bolts of multicolored cloth -- shimmering silver, azure blue."

Blu-ray Soars
